GST Admission Result on 23 April

The preliminary application process for the first-year undergraduate admission test for the 2020-21 session of 20 general and science and technology universities of the country, which will be held on a group basis, will end on Thursday (April 15). The results of the eligible candidates will be released on April 23. The final application process will start on April 24. As of last Sunday (April 11), about three lakh applications have been submitted. However, the time of the initial application is no longer increasing.

After the online application started, 2 lakh 92 thousand 623 applications have been submitted till Sunday. Of these, 1 lakh 61 thousand 256 applications have been received in the science department in ‘A’ unit, 60 thousand 629 in the commerce department in the ‘B’ unit, and 40 thousand 938 in the humanities in ‘C’ unit. The final application process will start on April 24. At this stage, students have to pay for pictures, center choice, application fee.

A press release issued by the Public Relations Department of Jagannath University on Sunday said that the application fee has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 800 on the basis of merit (results of SSC and HSC) from the initial applicants. The last date of initial application for participation in the admission test is 11:59 pm on April 15. The initial application deadline will no longer be extended. Students who have the minimum qualifications will be able to apply early. Initially selected students can make a final application for participation in the admission test between April 24 and May 10 by depositing Rs 600 through mobile banking service.

The admission guidelines state that students do not have to pay any fee for the initial application. Those who have passed HSC and equivalent examinations in 2019 and 2020 will be able to apply. However, students must have a minimum GPA of 6.00 for the science branch, a minimum GPA of 6.50 for the commerce branch, and a minimum GPA of 6.00 for the humanities in the SSC and HSC. Students of each branch should have minimum GPA-3.5 in SSC and HSC examinations separately.

When is the result of the initial application?
The results of the preliminary application will be released on April 23. Final candidates will be selected on the basis of merit (results of SSC and HSC) from among the initial applicants who will get the opportunity to take part in the examination. The final candidates will apply from April 24 to May 25. The test will be held in 31 centers. Candidates can list at least 5 centers.

When the test
Admission test of ‘A’ unit (science) will be held on 19th June, ‘B’ unit (humanities) on 26th June, and ‘C’ unit (commerce) on 3rd July. The one-hour test will start at 12 noon and will continue till 1 pm.

A total of 100 marks will be tested in one and a half hours. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates of each department and will be published on the website (gstadmission.org). Each university will then call the application separately stating its own conditions in the admission notification and will complete the admission process according to the merit order.
