Jagannath University Scholarship Application

In the light of Jagannath University Scholarship Policy-2013, it has been decided to provide merit scholarships and unpaid study opportunities for one year of study to the students studying in the first year of graduation (2019-20). Students need to apply online for merit scholarships and unpaid studies.

The matter was confirmed in a circular signed by Jagannath University Registrar Engineer Md. Ohiduzzaman on Tuesday.

The notification says, after logging in to student.erp.jnu.ac.bd i.e. student login panel, you can apply by clicking on the ‘Apply for scholarship’ link on the right. Concerned students will be able to submit the application online from 14-04-2021 to 12-5-2021 by filling in the information correctly. Applications received after the mentioned period will not be accepted.

It said that the concerned department will download the application forms of the students who have entered in the prescribed link and as per the rules, the second part along with the recommendation has to be sent to the examination controller’s office by May 24. The third part of the application will be properly verified and the comments will be sent to the Registrar’s Office by June 3. The department also encourages students with disabilities to apply if they are studying in the department.

It is known that according to the Scholarship Policy-2013, only in the academic year 2019-20, undergraduate (honors) / equivalent 1st-year students will be given merit scholarship at the rate of Rs. 400 per month for 3 students in each department for one academic year Will.

Apart from merit scholarships, 10% of indigent meritorious students studying in each department in the 2019-20 academic year will be given the opportunity to study in the university without pay. The list of students who are eligible to study without pay should have the opinion of the departmental academic committee as per the policy.

In fact, in the 2018-19 academic year, 1,117 meritorious students were awarded merit and unpaid scholarships by Jagannath University.
