Dental Admission Circular 2020-2021 for BDS Course

BDS Dental Admission

Dental Admission Circular has been published. BDS Admission Notice for Public and Private Dental Colleges and Units is published.

A comprehensive admission test will be conducted for all government and private dental colleges in Bangladesh. Admission activities will be completed on the basis of merit.

Dental Admission Form for BDS courses can be filled through the dghs.teletalk.com.bd website. Admit Card for Admission Test will be published at the end of the admission application. Admit Card must be downloaded from the same website.

The Admission Test Date and seat plan will be mentioned in the Admit Card. Candidates can also mention their examination center during the application period.

The dental admission test will be in the MCQ method. A total of 100 Marks admission test will be held. Also, 100 marks will be fixed on SSC and HSC results. However, this year there may be a change in the admission test and marks distribution.

Dental Admission Result will be published at the end of the examination in all the centers simultaneously. Government and private dental colleges will complete the admission after the results are published. Private dental colleges will publish admission notices later.

Eligibility for application

To apply for dental admission, the candidate has to pass HSC and equivalent examination in 2019 or 2020. Candidates must also pass SSC or equivalent examination in 2017 or 2018. Candidate must have passed SSC and HSC from Science Group. Both tests must include physics, chemistry, and biology.

Candidates must have a total GPA of at least 9.00 to apply. However, the minimum GPA for tribal candidates and candidates for hill districts should be 8.00. Both HSC and SSC exams must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 separately. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in Biology at the HSC level.

Admission Test Marks Distribution

A total of 100 Marks admission test will be held. The admission test will be in the MCQ method. There will be a total of 100 questions. The duration of the test will be 1 hour. 0.25 will be deducted for each wrong answer. If the candidates get 40 marks, they will be considered as successful.

In the admission test, 30 marks in Biology, 25 marks in Chemistry, 20 marks in Physics, 15 marks in English, and 10 marks in General Knowledge will be held. Questions will be asked about the history and liberation war of Bangladesh for general knowledge.
