HSC Routine 2025 Published – Exam Start on 26 June

DHAKA, BANGLADESH – The time schedule for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in 2025 has been released. The theoretical exams are set to begin on June 26, 2025, and will continue until August 10, 2025. Practical exams will start on August 11, 2025, and end on August 21, 2025.

This announcement was officially made today, Wednesday, February 19, by Professor SM Kamal Uddin, who is the Chairman of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee and also the Examination Controller of Dhaka Education Board. He signed and published the routine.

Important Instructions for HSC Examinees:

The education board has also issued special instructions that all examinees must follow during the HSC exams:

  • Be on Time: Students must be seated in the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Exam Format: The exam will start with the Multiple Choice Question test, followed by the Creative/Descriptive exam.
  • Time for MCQ Exam: For exams with 30 marks for MCQs, the time allowed is 30 minutes.
  • Time for Creative/Descriptive Exam: For exams with 70 marks for Creative/Descriptive questions, the time allowed is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Practical Subjects Exam Time: For subjects that include practical exams, the MCQ exam of 25 marks will have a time limit of 25 minutes. The Creative exam of 50 marks will have a time of 2 hours and 35 minutes.
  • No Breaks: The exam will continue without any breaks within the time mentioned in the question paper. There will be no break between the MCQ and Creative sections.
  • Morning Shift Exam Schedule (10:00 AM Start):
    • 9:30 AM: Blank answer sheets and MCQ OMR sheets will be distributed.
    • 10:00 AM: MCQ question papers will be given out.
    • 10:30 AM: MCQ answer sheets will be collected, and Creative question papers will be distributed. (For 25 marks MCQ exams, this time will be 10:25 AM).
  • Afternoon Shift Exam Schedule (2:00 PM Start):
    • 1:30 PM: Blank answer sheets and MCQ OMR sheets will be distributed.
    • 2:00 PM: MCQ question papers will be given out.
    • 2:30 PM: MCQ answer sheets will be collected, and Creative question papers will be distributed. (For 25 marks MCQ exams, this time will be 2:25 PM).
  • Follow Question Paper Time: Exams must be taken according to the time stated on the question paper.
  • Admit Card Collection: Examinees must collect their admit cards from their respective institution heads.
  • Answer Sheet Instructions: Every examinee must correctly write their roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., in the OMR form on the answer sheet and fill in the circles properly. Do not write within the margins or fold the answer sheet for any reason.
  • Separate Pass Marks: Students must pass separately in the theoretical, MCQ, and practical sections (if applicable).
  • Subject Restrictions: Each examinee can only participate in the exams for the subjects mentioned in their registration card and admit card. Participation in exams for subjects not listed is not allowed.
  • Calculator Usage: Examinees are allowed to use general scientific calculators. Programmable calculators are not permitted in the exam hall.
